Hello,
It is very nice that you have a special international section here, because (unfortunately) I don�t speak Swedish (although I got an aunt living near Lund.) I hope my English is not too bad.
I came here because of the Julkalender or "Christmas Calendar".
Our german Ukulele-Forum has moved this year from here to here .
Last year we were talking about an "Ukulele-Christmas-Calendar", but we startet too late and so planed to start one in 2007. When we were discussing this in 2006, one of your members here, Jukkalele took part (and had the idea that perhaps we can support each other.)
Because I do not speak Swedish I don�t know what you are talking about your Julkalender 2007 in the threads concerning it, but I wanted to tell you that we are about to present a calendar too and I thought perhaps you are interested.
This is the thread where we discuss our calendar. I know that Jukkalele speaks German and perhaps others too.
Right now there is no website for the german Christmas Calendar. But if you are interested I will post it when it exists.

Welcome to the ukulele commission, Caruso!

It�s nice to hear that your christmas calender will be a reality this year. Please do inform us when there is a URL to it.

So far the discussions here has concerned who will be contributing to the calender. As of today I belive we have just enough (promised) songs to fill the calender. (But there are only 8 submitted songs that actually have been submitted so far). Deadline for submissions is on friday.

I will look into your forum and se how your discussions are going. I'm afraid my geman is a bit rusty and it will only be embarrising if I try to write something there in german. I'll just lurk around.

Good luck with your calendar. I popped in at the forum to have a look. It's been a while since I was there and you moved in between, so I had to re-register. Nice to see that it seems to be very active. A few of you we of course meet on the Ukulele Cosmos and Uketalk as well. Isn't it great with there international connections?

Until now, we are still collecting contributions and we still need some but I think we can make it.
I would be happy, Robert, to see you at the german forum.
@jukkalele: I totally agree, the international connections are really nice. It makes it possible to get interesting influences and other views.

The Christmas Calendar is online and from December 1st on each day "a door will open" and you can hear or view another contributions.
I also edited the link into the first post, to make it easier to find.
I hope you will visit our calendar and enjoy it.

Although I helped organizing the German Christmas calendar, I could not influence the date the contributions appear. By chance my contribution is the one to open the calendar.
It is a movie, a music-clip in German, so I translated the text into English and synchronized the movie, so that non-German-speaking People get the joke.

I too was of course curious of what was behind the first door in the adventskalender. So naturaly I was a little dissapointed to find the same message as jukkalele. But now I'll try the link you provided here.

Ah. Now I've seen it. Nice song, nice story, nice video! A great start for your calender.

Last year was good with one ukulele christmas calendar. This year
is great with two calendars!!!

Yesterday's contribution was really innovative. Great ukulele playing and
a maultrommel? (elektronisches?) playing the melody.

Today i was surprised (in a good way) to find a recording from jukkalele.
